Showcasing Nick’s Choice – The Wild Salmon Center

Nick purchased his home with a partner when interest rates were under 3%. Following their split, he needed to refinance in order to remove his former partner from the loan. Unfortunately, with today’s much higher interest rates, the once-affordable payment became unsustainable. Ultimately, he had to make the difficult decision to sell the home.

When I asked Nick what charity he would like me to support, he chose The Wild Salmon Center. He donates to this charity for the restoration and conservation of our precious rivers and wild salmon. As an avid fisherman he enjoys finding ways to preserve our natural resources and protect endangered species such as chinook salmon. 

The Wild Salmon Center is a global conservation nonprofit headquartered in Portland, Oregon, dedicated to protecting the healthiest wild salmon ecosystems across the North Pacific Rim. Using a stronghold-based approach, it prioritizes forward-looking habitat protection, science-driven strategies, and collaborative partnerships with Indigenous communities, governments, and NGOs.
