Showcasing Kalina’s 2nd Choice – Wa Na Wari

Kalina is the proud parent of a wonderful pit-bull-mix dog, Penny. When she was trying to find a new apartment, she ran into so many barriers and restrictions on the breed that she decided buying would be easier than trying to find a new rental! This is not uncommon! When you have a beloved pet, getting a rental can be more challenging and inflexible than getting a mortgage and buying! We found a fabulous condo in a convenient location within her budget. Now Penny has a wonderful new home with her momma!

As an artist, my client Kalina chose to highlight Wa Na Ware. Wa Na Wari means “Our Home” in Kalabari. Co-founder, Inye Wokoma, is Kalabari through his father’s lineage. The name Wa Na Wari evokes a sense of purpose and intention to remain present in a place we consider home.
