As her children graduated, Karen decided it was time to downsize and find a home that better fit the next chapter of her life. While preparing her home to hit the market, we simultaneously searched for her next dream home, ensuring we could navigate the contingent sale without missing a beat. Karen’s family started volunteering at Food Lifeline when her kids were little. She recounted: “Of course feeding Western WA is vital and important, but beyond that Food Lifeline helps to divert food from being wasted by getting it where it’s needed.” 

Food Lifeline believes that everyone deserves access to healthy, nourishing food. Working alongside food banks, shelters, and community partners across Western Washington, they help ensure families have the support they need today while creating lasting solutions for tomorrow. Together with the community, they’re building a future where no one has to face hunger alone.
