Showcasing B and K’s Choice – The Sophia Way

I offer free home searches and will happily show any house to friends or clients. I need to see inventory every week, so showing something of interest to a friend makes it more fun. B & K love their current home and were very happy there, but always had a dream of a lake house. They thought it would be fun to see homes on the lake, so I set up a search. They happened to bike by an open house in their neighborhood and stopped in. The house really caught their attention, even though they weren’t really looking. Once they saw that house, they decided they’d like to see a few homes in their neighborhood with bigger garages. We looked at a bunch more homes, but that original open house kept coming to the top of the list. Their offer was accepted after several rounds of negotiation. B & K first learned about The Sophia Way when the big band K sings with was hired to play at their annual fundraiser banquet, and then a year later (completely independently) the chorus K signs with partnered with them for their Spring concert. B and K both got to meet women who have been served by The Sophia Way and were impressed by the great work that they do.

The Sophia Way creates a place of hope, safety, and new beginnings for women experiencing homelessness in East King County. Through shelter, housing, compassionate support, and connections to the resources women need to rebuild their lives, The Sophia Way walks alongside each woman with dignity and care. What makes this work possible is a community of people who believe every woman deserves a safe place to sleep, someone in her corner, and a real opportunity for a brighter future. The Sophia Way provides much more than a bed—it offers compassionate, trauma-informed case management and connections to resources that address housing, financial, physical, and emotional needs.
