Showcasing Karen’s Choice – Treehouse

I had the privilege of helping Karen both buy and sell a home, and when it came time to choose a charity through our 5% to Charity program, Treehouse was one of her selections. As a high school coach, Karen spent years building relationships with students, including many who had experienced life in and out of the foster care system. Through those conversations, she gained a glimpse into the challenges these young people face every day, challenges that most of us will thankfully never experience firsthand.

Karen shared something that has stayed with me: we lead incredibly privileged lives, and so often we simply have no clue what some children endure. It’s easy to assume every child has a stable home, a supportive adult, or someone cheering them on, but that’s not the reality for far too many youth. Organizations like Treehouse help bridge that gap by providing the support, encouragement, and opportunities these young people deserve. Every child deserves someone who believes in them, and every investment in their future has the power to change a life.
