Showcasing Geri’s Choice – Young Women Empowered (Y-WE)

I helped my client, Geri sell her home in Seattle and find a newly constructed home near her daughter. When I asked her which charity she would like me to support, she chose Young Women Empowered, where her daughter works. This amazing organization recognizes that self-esteem in girls peaks at age nine. In an effort to preserve and enrich the self esteem of young women this mentorship-based program serves diverse young women ages 13-26, and adult women mentors in the greater Seattle area. Each year, their programs directly serve 700+ girls and women and benefit 2,000+ community members. With learning and leadership programs that center marginalized young women, Y-WE provides empowerment programs for young women so that they will become leaders who effect positive change in their communities.
