Showcasing Bill and Christina’s Choice – Kitsap Humane Society

Bill and Christina were ready to retire, but knew they wanted to live near family out of state. They reached out from California to discuss options of neighborhoods, amenities, healthcare, and delicious food. We were able to find them a home completely remotely! They didn’t set foot in Washington until the inspection. We found a great home in Silverdale near everything they wanted with a great yard for their adorable dog Pretzel. Because of their love for pets, they chose Kitsap Humane Society. This wonderful organization benefits so many animals in the area.

Kitsap Humane Society (KHS) works to help to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome thousands of animals each year while promoting compassionate, progressive animal welfare. As an open-admission shelter with a 97% save rate, KHS provides critical services like spay/neuter programs, low-cost veterinary care, a pet food pantry, and senior pet support. Their work extends beyond shelter walls through community education, volunteer engagement, and partnerships that aid both pets and people in need. With recent expansions like the Russ and Linda Young Veterinary Lifesaving Center, KHS continues to be a leader in creating a community where animals and humans thrive together.
